Why Do Anything?

Everything we do in life is driven by something. Every action we take has a motivating force behind it, whether we recognize it or not. Even simple acts such as eating, are driven by the motivation to live and have energy. What we sometimes forget though is that more complex goals and tasks in life also require motivation, otherwise what reason would we have to pursue them?

Sometimes the motivation behind specific goals is quite apparent. For example, the motivation to diet is driven by the desire to lose weight. However, our bigger goals and dreams in life often go unfinished because we don't take the time to clearly define our motivation. Without a driving force and reason for accomplishing things, we will never follow through on our biggest goals.
The important thing to remember is that we all have different things that motivate us. One person may be motivated by the thought of having a beautiful, expensive home while another may be motivated by the thought of exotic sports cars. The most important thing is that you choose something that is motivating to YOU

For me personally, I'm motivated by the thought of being able to travel the world at will and go wherever I want to, whenever I want to. I regularly visualize and imagine travelling to places I've never been and how incredible it would be to be able to travel to those destinations. Doing this allows me to relentlessly pursue my goals on a daily basis so I can make my dreams a reality.

Write It Down

Take time today to think about what it is that motivates you and write it down. Then vividly vsualize attaining and achieving your goals daily. Imagine being able to have or do whatever it is that motivates you. It will make your life more enjoyable and your goals easier to attain.
